The garden days are a combination of free play social time and opportunity to volunteer in the gardens and learn about permaculture gardening from one of the local experts. For little people there's a nature play meet that runs along side the gardening activities.

We've discussed a plan of ways our group can learn and contribute to the gardens each meet. For March 9th we'll prep beds for winter veggies.

- remove old summer growth

- feed worms in compost with cuttings

- plant seeds for winter crop

- learn to make teas and salads with Chef Shine using tropical greens (please bring along salad extras to add in: cherry tomatoes, pine nuts, feta or whatever you like)

- everyone can take home cuttings from the last of the summer growth
