Hooray!! Our group has been offered the opportunity to create a large scale sculpture for the Illuminate - Festival of Arts again this year (like our peacock last year).

Artists Cheb and Lisa will be leading us in this two part workshop. This is aimed at school aged children and teens.

Older ones will have more opportunity to contribute to the design and construction while younger ones will participate more in papering and decoration elements.

Once we know who is coming along we will divide kids into smaller groups of similar ages and they will each do parts of the designing, construction, papering and decorating. While some are having their turn participating others can have some free play or board games time when it's not their turn.

Please bring along snacks and food for a shared lunch.

When considering if this activity will suit the needs of your child - as it is a group project it will involve taking turns and sharing/collaborating ideas, and following some instructions. In our home we ask that families supervise their children where needed to be respectful of our space and those around them (namely the oh so precious Lego creations haha)
