Come and join us exploring nature! This month we're heading out with microscopes to look at all the tiny microscopic creatures that live in our waterways.

If you have a microscope you can bring along, please let me know in the comments!

Location will be confirmed soon - a waterway in Mackay.

There will be an opportunity for some guided nature journaling - where we draw or write about the algae we saw. We encourage parents to get a nature journal as well and learn alongside your child! Model to them that you are not afraid to give something a go and make mistakes along the way.

After the walk we'll share lunch together under some cool trees.

What to bring:

• Comfortable shoes, sunhat, sunscreen

• Small paintbrush
  

Please take a look through our community values and chat with your children about these before the walk. Nature walks usually run on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Parents are responsible for the safety of their own children, and need to be present with their children during this activity.
