A 1 hour hands-on workshop on the most important first aid skills that children should know. This is a really fun and practical course!

Once you have paid, you have a confirmed spot on the course. Please put a comment with the number of children you have attending after you have completed the booking form and paid online.

This course is facilitated by Leia who is a certified first aid instructor from 'First Aid for You'.

The course covers:

- basic first aid

- calling for help

- bleeding

- bandaging & splints

- CPR

- Epi-pen

- burns

- choking

- recovery position

Venue: Andergrove Neighbourhood Centre on Bedford Rd

Time: please arrive 10 mins before so we can start at 11am.

Venue hire: I am proposing that we utilise member funds to cover cost of hall hire as this event will be attended by so many in our community.

This will be a mixed aged group of children aged 10-15. Please note: if your child is aged 10 it is up to you if you prefer them to attend the 6-10 years or 10-15 years group.

Parents, you are welcome to drop your child or stay with them if they would like to support your child through the course. Leia would love at least 1 or 2 parents to be present.

Children should be prepared to follow instructions and be able to sit through some instructor led talking. Please take a look through our Community Group Values Statement (under files in the facebook group) and chat with your children about expectations for their behaviour at the course.
